General disclaimer

The content of this site is provided for general information and practical use. It is written carefully and sourced from primary specifications wherever possible, but it is not professional advice and should not be relied on as such.

Standards, browser behaviour and search engine documentation all change. An article accurate on its last review date may not remain so. Each page shows when it was last updated.

Tool output

The tools are tested but come with no warranty of correctness. Some carry inherent approximations, and where that is the case the page says so explicitly:

  • The minifier is deliberately conservative and does not do the scope analysis a build-time minifier performs.
  • The extractor uses pragmatic patterns rather than complete grammars, so it will miss unusual formats.
  • The readability scores are calibrated for English prose and are not meaningful for other languages or for code.
  • The gzip estimate in the minifier is a heuristic, not actual compression.

Verify output before relying on it, particularly anything going into production or anything security-related.

Security tools

The password generator, hash generator, random number generator and JWT decoder use the browser’s Web Crypto API and run entirely locally.

Even so:

  • Generating a password in a browser is only as secure as the device it runs on. A compromised machine compromises everything on it.
  • Do not paste production tokens, keys or credentials into any web page, including this one. Use test data.
  • The JWT decoder does not verify signatures, by design. Verification belongs server-side with a vetted library.
  • These tools support legitimate security work. Using them against systems you do not own or have permission to test is unlawful.

SEO content

Search engine behaviour is partly documented and partly inferred. Where this site describes documented behaviour, it links to the documentation. Where it describes observed or inferred behaviour, it says so.

No SEO guidance guarantees a ranking outcome. Ranking depends on competition, content quality, site history, links and factors nobody outside the search engines can see. Treat the guidance here as sound practice, not as a promise.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links to third-party products or services may be affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, a commission may be earned at no additional cost to you.

This does not influence what is recommended. Tools and resources are listed because they are genuinely useful, and several of the resources listed have no affiliate programme at all. The tools on this site are free regardless and are unaffected by any commercial arrangement.

Links to specifications, standards bodies, documentation and non-commercial resources are never affiliate links.

Trademarks and third parties

Product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners. Their use here is nominative — that is, to identify the product being discussed — and does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.

This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Google, Mozilla, the W3C, the IETF, the Unicode Consortium, Denso Wave, or any other organisation whose standards or products it describes.
