Terms of Use
Short terms for a free, static site: use the tools for anything, the output is yours, and verify anything that matters.
Using this site
By using TextToBinary.net you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short because the site is a free, static collection of tools and articles with no accounts, payments or user content.
If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What you may do
You may use every tool on this site for any purpose, personal or commercial, free of charge and without attribution or permission. Output you generate — converted text, generated passwords, QR codes, sitemaps, colour values — is yours to use however you like. No claim is made over it.
You may link to any page without asking.
You may quote short passages from the written content with attribution and a link. Wholesale republication of articles is not permitted.
What you may not do
- Republish the site’s written content in bulk, with or without attribution.
- Embed the tools in an iframe on another site and present them as your own.
- Use automated systems to place unreasonable load on the site.
- Attempt to interfere with the site’s operation or security.
- Use the tools in furtherance of unlawful activity. The password and hash tools in particular exist for legitimate security work.
Availability
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. There is no uptime commitment, no service level agreement and no guarantee that any particular tool will continue to exist. Pages may change or be removed without notice.
Because the tools run in your browser, you can also keep a page working offline once it has loaded.
Accuracy
Considerable care goes into making the tools correct and the articles accurate, with primary sources cited throughout. Nevertheless, no warranty is given that any output is free of error.
Verify anything that matters. This applies particularly to security-related output — hashes, passwords, tokens — and to anything you are about to deploy to production, such as redirect rules, robots.txt directives or structured data.
If you find an error, please report it. Corrections are made promptly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content or output, including without limitation any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
External links
This site links to third-party websites, particularly from the resources page and the sources section of each article. Those sites are not under our control and no responsibility is accepted for their content, availability or practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.
See the disclaimer for the position on affiliate links.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
